The lead partners the Commonwealth Peoples’ Association of Uganda (CPAUG) that promotes the values and Charter of the Commonwealth in Uganda since 2005 and Parental Roles in Values Empowerment-Uganda (PROVE-UG) that works to influence, encourage, nurture or reinforce good ways for prosperous family unit and transformed country since 2011. The two partners are collaborating on this initiative and the GoU through the MGLSD is aware.
The Partners are now proposing this forum in line with the country’s NDP and VISION 2040 roadmaps aligned to the country’s transformation process with the theme: “Parents companioning the Spirit of Nation Building towards a transformed Ugandan Society by 2040.”
As part of the International Day of Families 2015 that is held on 15th May each year, the partners shall be holding a media launch for UGAPAF1 in April/May 2015. Venue TBC starting at 11am-12:30pm for key stakeholders drawn from the CSOs/NGOs, Government, media, religious and private sector.
