CPAUG organizers a safer Internet Day 2014 in Uganda

With support from the GoU through the National Information and Technology Authroity-NITA-U, CPAUG held a Safer Internet Day tageting studenst on 3rd April 2014 with eth Theme: “Let’s create a better Internet Together” at Gayaza High School that brought around 140 participants. It was graced by the representative of NITA-U, UCC, WOUGNET, The Internet Society-Uganda and Enterprise Technology. The event began by visiting the UCC-RCDF computer lab.


the students were educated about the basics of having a safer internet and an ICT sector that is responsive to their human development as young people. The participants were informed about the new IT word “SMART” that they should take very seriously while using the Internet.


CPAUG is very grateful to NITA-U, UCC, WOUGNET, Technology Enterprise, the Internet Society-Uganda and the administration of Gayaza High School for hosting the 2014 event in Uganda.
